Experience life in the Mojave Desert

Spend a few nights in the Mojave Desert. A bustling mining town in the early 20th century, Tecopa was an important source of raw materials including copper, iron, silver and gold. After years of abandonment, the village came back to life in the 1990s and has become a unique place to escape city life.

The Mojave Desert, home of the Mojave Native Americans, stretches for 57,000km² and is predominantly located in southeastern California, but also in portions of Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Experience life in the middle of a desert, far away from the hustle and bustle. That is why your host, Cynthia, started this accommodation. She loves the peaceful surroundings and enjoys sharing this special place with her guests.

You can stay in the lodge or a tipi tent. Join a local guide for an off-road tour around the old mines and the ‘Old Spanish Trail’. A historical trade route used to transport materials to New Mexico. After a busy day exploring this unforgettable place, sit around the campfire under a canopy of stars.
