Feed the goats at a Colorado mountain retreat

There is something for the whole family here at this beautiful bed and breakfast high in the Colorado mountains. Feeding and milking the goats are very popular activities, along with collecting the hens’ eggs every morning. You can even take classes on making fresh goat cheese and raising your own backyard chickens.

The lodge is a great starting point for exploring the area of Salida. Located at the foot of the Sawatch Range, part of the Rocky Mountains, the area offers fantastic summer activities such as hiking the mountain trails and white water rafting. In the winter the area is famous for its excellent downhill skiing, snowcat skiing, and snowboarding on Monarch Mountain.

Your hosts Gina and D’Arcy founded this lodge as the perfect place to raise goats. There is a wide selection of beautiful suite rooms, vintage trailers, and retro campers, so you will certainly find the best accommodation for your family. The goats roam freely around the pastures and provide the milk for the local yoghurt and cheese.
