Lynn Canyon (North Vancouver)

A hidden gem near the city of Vancouver, Lynn Canyon offers suspension bridges, hiking trails, and a stunning waterfall. It's a quieter alternative to the more famous Capilano Suspension Bridge and gives a more local feel. It's still really close to the city, but you are still able to reach nature really quickly!

Joffre Lakes (Pemberton)

Conveniently located within Joffre Lakes Park, to the east of Pemberton, BC, this 10-kilometre hike consists of a series of three turquoise coloured alpine lakes surrounded by glacial peaks. The hike to reach the lakes offers breathtaking views and is also a great alternative if not going into the Rockies to witness some of the other glacier lakes!

Wells Gray Provincial Park (Clearwater)

Wells Gray Provincial Park, situated in Eastern British Columbia, is home to over 40 named waterfalls, including the impressive Helmcken Falls. Wells Gray also offers great Whitewater rafting, endless hikes including my favourite 'Trophy Meadows' and Canoeing on Clearwater Lake are all incredible in this park that offers so much without nearly as much acclaim as some others in the region.

Takakkaw Falls (Yoho National Park)

Located within Yoho National Park, Takakkaw Falls is one of Canada's tallest waterfalls. Takakkaw Falls is incredible, and you can actually get up very close to the roaring waters. It is accessible via a short walk from the car park, it's a must-see sight in the Yoho National Park!

Little Beehive Hike (Lake Louise)

The Little Beehive Hike offers incredible panoramic views of Lake Louise and the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Located in Alberta's iconic Banff National Park, this moderate hike rewards visitors with stunning views via a trip to the teahouse at Lake Agnes. It's a less crowded alternative to some of the more popular trails in the area, and the views are well worth the effort!
